2009 – 2010 FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP PLAN
The Executive Committee has agreed to initiate an aggressive membership plan with incentives that are offered to reward Chapter members for recruiting and retaining NARFE members. Incentives have been successful and work well in increasing membership as well as retaining membership. This year the Colorado Federation is proceeding with the plan as follows:
ALL members who have recruited one member will be acknowledged with a letter of thanks.
All members who recruit one (1) or more new members will receive a distinctive Recruiting Pin. This special recognition can only be received during the announced recruiting cycle.
NOTE: All requests for Dues Withholding Rebates must be sent to the Federation 1st Vice President using the Form C-7, NARFE Member Request for Dues Withholding Rebate.
In addition to the above offers, the chapter with the largest percentage of members (current and new) signing up for dues withholding during this period will be recognized with a cash award. The recognition will be at the Federation Convention in May 2010.
Objective: Maintain and increase membership by reducing and/or minimizing the number of voluntary membership losses. Currently, Colorado has approximately 800 members using dues withholding. The goal is to increase the dues withholding to 1,217 members for the state. This will increase dues withholding in Colorado to 25% of the total number of voting chapter members.
The Federation plan is in addition to the National 2010 NARFE Recruiting & Retention Membership Plan (January 2010).. For the plan, go to www.narfe.org.
